With funds received from the IL EPA Residential Sharps Program Grant and the Piatt County Opiod Settlement Fund, DeWitt-Piatt Bi-County Health Department is pleased to offer a Sharps Collection Program in both counties.

Any resident may drop off an approved container to either location for disposal.

Residents may also pick up an approved container for collection.

Both services are offered at no cost.

We ask that the containers be filled only to the line designated on the container.  Approved sharps containers do not include laundry detergent containers, ice cream pails, cardboard boxes or plastic bags. If items are in such a container, the resident will be asked to transfer them to the approved container.

Please only drop off containers during office hours from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
