Cases of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease on rise in US
Cases of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD) are on the rise in the U.S.
HFMD is very contagious and spreads quickly, especially in schools and daycare centers. It’s most common in children under 5, but anyone can get it.
Symptoms include fever, mouth sores, and a skin rash.
Protect yourself and others:
Wash hands often
Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands
Disinfect frequently touched surfaces
Avoid close contact with people who are sick
